About Us/Donations

The team at Arran Events has been assembled in this venture as they have all been heavily involved over the years in promoting music and the arts on the island including several years involvement with The Arran Folk Festival. We are responsible for the continuance of The Arran Folk Festival which will run from 14th to 17th June this year.

As well as being fully supportive of the work that Arran Folk Festival have done since its creation in 1990, we aim to widen our scope and include all genres of music and hope that we will cater for most musical tastes!

We  had a busy time of it last year, as well as organising various concerts and the Folk Festival (see "Previous Events - 2011"), we have helped raise the profile and promote the various concerts and events held by the Music Society, Arran Theatre & Arts Trust, Jazz Cafe Band, and the Music & Drama Club by posting their details here on our website.

The P.A.hire department was also very busy at several high-profile events and we were delighted to have worked with VisitArran at the "Arran in the Square" 2 day event in George Square Glasgow and also to have been involved with the Arran Distillery Open Day and the "Santa's Sparkle On The Shore" event in Lamlash in November.

We also provided P.A. to various independant music promotors who stage concerts over here such as The Littlest Mojo who brought "LAU" & "Odi" over in May, and Robyn & Amie who promoted "The Meatmen" in July.

In 2011, we worked with : The Arran Motocross Club; Whiting Bay Improvements; Roots of Arran Community Woodland; Arran Theatre & Arts Trust; Isle of Arran Pipe Band, and C.O.A.S.T. who all benefited from a share of our profits.
